Sonitus plug-in link
Hello,
I really Love the Sonitus plug-ins but with Sonar situation I’ve lost the effects. I was in hopes that someone from the forum could please direct me, maybe a Link? Mr. Anderton had posted a link but I can’t seem to find the thread. I would be most appreciative for any Help.
Thank you,
Mike.

Use the Command Center application. I believe the Sonitus effects are part of the basic SONAR install, so just re-install SONAR.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Thank You Bitflipper, you always have great suggestions! Reason I was looking for the Sonitas link that Craig Anderton posted was to try the Delay Plugin, (from memory thought is was good) but I didn’t want to use the Sonar Command as I don’t use Cakewalk anymore, I’m loving Studio One Never Crashes, wonderful production capabilities, amazing program (contrary to Sonar). I did find the Sonitus link and I wanted to compare the Delay to my FabFilter Timeless 2 (I prefer FabFilter) deleted Sonitus, somewhat outdated. Thanks again, Mike.

I also have Studio One Mike, and am a little bit curious as to how exactly you did this testing ? As far as I know the Sonitus Delay is a DX type plugin, a feature which SO is missing. I presume you tested it in SO, since you don't mention reinstalling Sonar for it. I have both SPLAT and SO running in paralell, and have not experienced any problems with it so fare ... just incase you are of the cautious type.

deleted Sonitus, somewhat outdated.
If I may ask "outdated" How so ? Sonitus Delay is an amazing tool and its the one effect from the Sonitus bundle I still use the most now.

Craig posted a link for a shell wrapper that makes DX plug-ins show up as vsts. This will work for most of the Sonitus effects except the compressor because of its sidechaining capabilities. One thing to note with the Sonitus delay, if you do use the shell wrapper, since it's a tempo based effect it may show up as a vst instrument instead of an effect. Go to this site: http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/ You want version 1.0.4b. There will be a readme file in the zip file when you download. I can confirm thanks to Craig that this method works with Studio 1.

Hello Chuck, Sonitus has been a longtime favorite, as you know with Sonar’s situation I wanted to take that program and load it to Studio One as I was a longtime Cakewalk user (8.0) I really loved the program for its independent channels, especially for “rock guitar!” For widening and time factor. But then after loading it into S1 I noticed poor or to say not as good tone? I thought I was hearing something or not and it was the engineers that I was working with that really brought it to my attention (they though it lost frequency, made the gtr “thin” and lifeless) and then comparing it to my FabFilter Timeless 2 and Waves H-Delay that everyone thought the same. I did try a few things to reinstall etc. but I think it's just my Fond Memories of Sonar and using Sonitus for so long. I'm happy that it works for you and I hope the best for the Sonar Program! Thanks for the reply Chuck.

Hello, Yes I tried Sonitus in Studio One with No Problems other than the tone of the plug-in? All I wanted was the files that Craig posted because "generally" it can be loaded in any DAW (although I didn't try it in every format) It was "My Mistake" just fond memories and thought it might work, but My FabFilter Timeless 2 also has "Independent Right & Left Channels" that I prefer to splitting tracks and delay lines. Thanks for the reply.

Cant say I have noticed a difference in tone.. or frequency. What I have noticed a big difference in, is CPU usage. Sonitus delay barely uses any resources compared to FFT2, WHD or Waves Manny Marroquin (which is my go to). Im not a Grammy award winning producer but I have worked beside some of the best here in Boston. Many of them still use the Sonitus for tracking and mixing. Its a great tracking plug in because it barely uses any resources, hence you can use it on 6 separate VOX tracks without worrying about PDE, Delay compensation, latency. Im no one to question what your doing, if your happy with your results that's all that matters. But give it a try when tracking. your vocalist will love you for it. Its independent so you don't need to bus it or set cookie cutter presets, everyone can have it on their own tracks with different presets and it consumes next to nothing in CPU compared to most delays out there. More often than not an engineer will run all VOX tracks to a bus (or sends) to use delay, reverb while recording/tracking. Nothing wrong with that unless you want independent control over each vocalist. Rock guitars and VOX all done using Sonitus Delay https://soundcloud.com/charlie-roy/jack-it-up Best, Chuck

Thanks Fitzj,
I really only wanted a couple of the Sonar plugins, even when I was using Sonar full time I always got better recordings with 3rd party VSTs (NuGen, FabFilter, iZotope, Waves, UAD, Softube, Nexus etc.) Sonar plugs are decent, I just wanted Sonitus Delay.
Again thanks.
