Sound Forge from inside X3

I have just installed X3, and Sound Forge 11.    Previously on another PC I had Sonar X1, and SF 9, and I could eidt an audio clip from inside Sonar, directly opened the clip in SF, edited, then saved it back straight in the project in Sonar.  Now I cannot see the Sound Forge link inside Sonar X3 - is it somewhere different now, where should I look?

    Hello,
    I tried the above and it did not work for me ??
    I keep getting "tool not found" etc...
    I am running X3 in 64bit but I have Sound Forge 8 in 32 bit under C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Sound Forge 8.0..
    Is it because it is an older version of Sound Forge ??
    I did not use the "Wow6432Node" because I have 64bit Win 7 and 64bit X3...
    Please help,
    Thank you,
    Al

    The instructions should work with any program that accepts a file name as a command line argument. Not sure what "tool not found" etc would be other than a typo in the registry entry. Here is a registry export for SoundForge 9 http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3083341 adjust for your SoundForge path.

    Awesome !! thank you soooo much for getting back to me so quick..
    Now..... Assuming I am a computer idiot (which I am) how do I "Cut and paste" What you have provided:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Tools Menu\Sound Forge]
    "ExePath"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Sony\\Sound Forge Pro 9.0\\Forge90.exe"
    "MenuText"="&Sound Forge"
    "StatusBarText"="Run Sound Forge"
    "Type"="WaveEditor"

    And where exactly do I do it ?
    Sorry for the stupidity...
    Thank you in advance,
    Al

    The example is for a default installation of SoundForge 9 on the C: drive. If one were to cut and paste the example into a file with a .reg extension (for example sf9insonar.reg) then right-click on the file, Windows would have an option to Merge the file as the top action. Merge would add the file to the registry.

    Is there an issue with my Sound Forge 8 being only installed under (x86) which I had presumed to be the only option because it is a 32bit program ??
    Sorry but I seem to be missing something..... Well pretty much everything if we are being honest :)
    Again I am sorry for the ignorance.... Please bear with me..
    Thank you,

    It does not matter where SoundForge is installed. It does not matter if SONAR is 32 or 64bit. All that matters is the program is properly installed and the registry entries are made correctly for your installation.

    I just noticed that this:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Tools Menu\Sound Forge]
    "ExePath"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Sony\\Sound Forge Pro 9.0\\Forge90.exe"
    "MenuText"="&Sound Forge"
    "StatusBarText"="Run Sound Forge"
    "Type"="WaveEditor"

    is not the same as the instructions from Cakewalk ??
    Is this just a different way to do it ??

    It is an export made from my registry after following the instruction provided in the Cakewalk knowledge base.
