Except in Portland! They know how to ruin a good band like Ozric Tentacles, by making sure you can not hear the keyboards, and half the time, they go out anyway, including Ed's own synth going out when he was doing a solo! It was so bad, that I walked out the last time they were here! AND, I had warned them about this, and they knew it since their first stop here in 1995, even La Luna had sound problems and Seaweed could not play half the time! It was really sad, and it had to do with the monitors on the stage and the public, because this does not show as an issue on the monitor tapes. But Seaweed was frustrated and I'm sure that hearing one speaker going in and out was not Karyn's intention, and neither was it her intention to ruin a good band! But Portland only likes straight rock'n'roll and if you have keyboards, you are a lousy band and can not play music as rock!
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

I have no idea what that article or this thread is about (just passing through) but I am indeed becoming much less tolerant at least as far as noise stuff since I've been listening to every little deedledeeboop and blappitywah up close and personal. I used to live in one of the craziest and noisiest neighborhoods in Canada and it didn;t bother me. Once I started doing this crap even the slightest out of place sound drives me bonkers, makes me hitch my pants up to my ankles (edit: nipples... I meant to type nipples... going senile too apparently) and contemplate complaining vociferously to anyone who will listen.
Then again this building has been a non stop shizfest of dirtbag spazzout nonsense and the soundproofing is way below code (despite the huge pile of money I shovel toward it every month). It has gotten better very recently though so keep your fingers crossed for cranky ole Beeps.
Seriously... alcohol and drug fueled violence occurring in my immediate vincinity seems to have lost all its allure and what is UP with this gatdamn RACKET the young peeplz are listnin to these days??!!!
