Under Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording, raise the 'Prepare Using' buffer from the default of 250ms to 500ms. When using plugins that induce a lot of delay compensation, you might need to go higher, but 500ms will take care of most cases of dropped MIDI notes.

I has to re-install sound drivers on after a couple of updates, but was no problem and it solved it.  I guess it doesn't hurt to freshen the drivers anyway.  I just keep a copy of the drivers install in a utility folder for just that purpose.

    Brundlefly had the answer

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
