Sound stopping mid session

So, I've been using X1b (Quick Fix 246) regularly for about a week (finally deleted the 8.5 shortcut from my desktop) and twice now I've had the experience of the sound stopping mid-session. Not a dropout, the program just no longer produces any sound.
 
The first time I was able to trace it to my UAD plugins and as soon as I disabled those I was able to get sound again. The second time, disabling my UAD plugins didn't resolve the issue and I had to close/restart the program to get sound again.
 
I'm running Windows 7 and my sound card is a Lynx L22. I never had this issue in 8.5. Any thoughts?

    Yeah, just the shortcut.

    Any ideas about the sound stopping? I can still hit play and watch the Now Time move through the project. I just don't hear anything.

    I get similar issue where the sound stops and I see meters going on only a few channels and the busses have nothing.  It seems the buss signals get "lost".
