Go to Options-Audio-Drivers and make sure the UA-25EX is selected as the Input and Output device.

what have you done so far?  when you first connected the UA25EX did you install the windows drivers for it?  did you run the wave profiler in sonar after installing it (OR change to ASIO driver mode).  do you have headphones or powered speakers connected to the UA25EX?

in the OPTIONS>AUDIO tab, is the UA25EX listed as the PLAYBACK and RECORDING TIMING MASTER?  (and NOT the SPDIF portion of the UA25EX, you want analog only - i'm assuming).

in your project that you're trying to get sound out of, do you have the UA25EX output 1/2 set for your master bus output?

what kind of sound are you trying to get out of it?  audio?  MIDI? (not sound - data only - you need softsynths or hardware synths for midi output).

we need a lot more info on what you're doing and what you're trying to do before we can really help.

What sound did you record into sonar that you cannot hear?? Guitar? Vocals? Piano? Synths (soft synths)
Have you read the manual and have you done the tutorials? Start with the manual and then go onto the tutorials.

      I might switch DAWS
lol... wow already? didn't you just get it?  I think if you take the initial time to read about setting it up and basic routing of audio and sound card settup etc you wouldn't have a problem... I have used almost all DAW systems out there and Sonar is one of the better programs... some options you can't find on any other DAW....

I would take a deep breath and not give up when something doesn't work out of the box... it's a computer that hasn't been config'd to what you want it to do.. so you have to tell it how to do it...

Have you ever had sound out of Sonar ?

Is your sound device (mentioned in your earlier posts) connected to speakers?

    Are the speakers on?

List the steps you have taken which failed to make sound. that will help folk determine where you are going wrong.

    eg View > Synthrack > Insert Instrument > TTS-1 > etc...

     Yes.

So just to help you along a little try looking into these couple of things.....

One go into your control panel and open the sound settings:

Thats...... START>CONTROL PANEL>SOUNDs and Audio Devices

Once that window opens click on the Audio tab

There is a drop down box for Playback and another for record..

Click on the playback tab and see if you can see the Audio Interface there...

If you don't the driver is not installed.. if you do then select the main outputs (should be like "Analog 1-2 or similar)

    Then open up Sonar

If you are using a Master fader for your "Main" Output make sure all your tracks are sending to that bus and then see where the master fader is sending the signal.. select the audio interface to send to from the master (Like Analog 1-2 from the step above (should be labeled the same exact thing)) If it is not there and your computer sees it when you went into Sounds and Audio devices in your control panel then Sonar has to know you want to use it...

I will go over how to select what devices Sonar will and won;t use if the above does not shed some light onto the subject

Oh get a grip! It doesn't strike you as odd that one may switch DAWS (at at least $200) because they can't get any sound out of it?

CJ, I have my checkbook out and have been practicing making loads of 0's.

    How big is your problem?

It might be easier just to tell me how many 0's to put after the 1.

Not really wishing to start a flame war here, but you've had your fair share of run ins with members of this forum, and believe it not, I get the impression that you in fact DO know a thing or 2 about working in a DAW environment.

Now, the OP has been asked several times to state exactly what steps he's taken, how his machine is set up, yet all he can provide by way of an answer is "I might switch DAWs" as if THAT is going to sort his problems out <doh>

If he really wants to splash loads of cash, moving from DAW to DAW that's entirely up to him. But if he thinks ANYTHING is going to work straight out of the box, then the word 'delusional' is probably quite appropriate.

The only way he'll reach that Utopian state is to have a DAW built for him by one of the many specialist builders out there.

With a price tag to match.

    errrrrrrr,

    Cakewalk Professional for Windows 3.0

worked straight out of the box

    honest

and I could go on and name a few more that work straight out of the box
pretty much, meaning no struggles - just a couple of dongles to switch
remember software mostly is and was for this machine or that one
not any    Cake 3.0 won't load into windows 7 or vista...I never tried xp
If you don't have the right computer set-up for ANY program, it's just not gonna work
I only say this because SOME folks don't know it
    OBVIOUSLY
they have only had experience with software that works straight from the get go.
You trying to tell me you bought a computer that didn't already have an installed  OS
and a whole bunch other software running out of the box?
(well,....on second thought  some of you may have)
Where did you think they got the idea that SONAR would work right away from?

Actually, on a machine with with a quad core i7 and Windows 7
SONAR works pretty much straight out of the box
just a few things to attend to and away you (can) go
    the problem is
its complicated beyond the initial do dahs
lots of new rituals to learn
and if you have never done any work using any other kind of music software
this must really seem a confusing endless series of ??????????s

hell,      I       got it to work.............
    sort of
there are a lot of things to learn about process
but the very best way to do it is have at it
    so what it crashes?
    reboot

    save your work, often
and try not to get so frustrated
    you goin' somewhere?
calm down and you could possibly get there
    from here
    nothing worthwhile comes easy

and, look at all these good folks who are here and want to help

    or
    change daws
    lots to choose from
most of them work well enough to record tracks and mix em and make mp3s
bet most are easier to learn too

just my experience and  personal point of view

And what if you get no sound out of your next choice of DAWs? You're going to have to take the time to learn how to set things up and troubleshoot problems. Computer recording has gotten complicated, there are more than two choices now. You have to tell Windows and Sonar what to do and what to use.

I have tried everything that is listed above and I have even tried reinstalling the driver for my interface, because i have tried all the troubleshooting that is listed in the manual I now think that it actually isn't a problem with Sonar itself, but a problem with the interface/and or the interface driver. I am only frustrated because I have been trying to get this running for three months. At first I didn't have a fast enough computer but now after getting a very fast machine it is still not working.
