Spacer for the Console view

I request the addition of some sort of blank spacer strip that could be inserted like a track in the console view.  I stretch my console view across two 22" monitors and the typical width of the tracks always means that at some point when I run out of screen width on my left monitor, I get a track strip that spans the two monitors.  A blank strip could be inserted at this point and it would prevent the need for adjusting the window size and give me a tidy looking console.

You could also use it just to break up faders into groups.

Id also like to see this. Currently I run 2 x24" monitors and have track view on left screen and console view with plugins on right. Would be nice to be able to stretch across screens and not have that one strip that's split at the monitor bezels.

Thinking about this a little further.  It might ideally be a preferences setting so that you could specify how many tracks that would display to the left of the spacer so that the spacer could float.

It came to mind that if you placed a spacer between track 22 and 23 where your bezel break might occur and you scroll the tracks the spacer would move and you would again have a bezel break unless you moved 22 tracks over each time and placed another spacer.  Of course, the floating spacer would still require you to use the console stretched across the entire screen.  Or maybe the spacer setting would require the input of the resolution of your screen and do the math based on the boundaries of the screen.

It's not as cut and dry as I first imagined.

One of the considerations is that it would need to accomodate things like WAI (for ACT). So WAI indicator range would have to be discontinuous according to where the spacer panels are.

Wouldn't it be just as viable for them to code the console to adapt to dual displays so that it inserts the correct amount of space automatically?

That would work for me as well. An entry for your screen resolution in the preferences would do it. A lot of people have added to the scope of my original request. I don't care about separating sections of tracks all that much. I get my separations via track coloring.
