Special PreSonus Crossgrade for Cakewalk Users

Hi Guys,

Several people had asked if we were planning to do something special for Cakewalk customers, so I just wanted everyone to know that we are offering a $149 price for StudioOne Professional through the end of the year. We are doing to honor this through a handful of dealers and also direct from the PreSonus shop.

Kind Regards,
Rick

So holding out for the offer that truly was "special" was the right thing to do.

Les than any Black Friday or Cyber Monday price.

    Good start Presonus.

Please consider a reasonable price for your VST and AU and Rewire Support add-on, Rick.
    https://shop.presonus.com...-AU-and-Rewire-Support

I've always thought it was ridiculously overpriced at $80 considering Artist can regularly be found for under $50.

I don't know of any other DAW with this limitation, though I'm sure one exists. Even Cakewalk's Music Creator software has VST support.

I just bought Studio One Professional the other day from Sweetwater while it was 50% off, is there any way I can recapture this extra $50 off?

Ok, I can not find the "about" page that looks like the example and my CCC page shows my screen name not my email.

How am I supposed to verify I am an owner?

As long as your CCC page shows your screen name plus your registered product, that will be fine.

    Hope this helps.

You should hear back from either PreSonus or from a dealer no longer than 24 hours later. If you don't hear back, feel free to shoot me an email and I'll be glad to help.

Rick, can you please clarify for folks which versions of software this applies to? There may be confusion in the ranks and a definitive response would help us all.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

    Thanks Rick.

Did you have to wait for a confirmation from JRR before purchasing, or how did it work? I sent in my screen shot via Drop Box.

I bought mine at JRR before all the info (and process) was fully communicated. I received assurances from both Presonus and JRR that it would be handled in short order and it appears they've got the process down now and have put my proof of ownership docs in the Dropbox folder designated for such items.

I got the SO3/Notion bundle for $189 (?close to that?) so I think that probably would have come out ~ the same if I  waited. I'm happy with it.

I bought the $50 Artist Black Friday special from Sweetwater.  I checked it tonight and they sent me a Prime version. Because it has no vst support, I'd like to upgrade it to the Professional version. Can I get credit for my $50 Artist purchase to the Sonar upgrade Price ?? This would mean I'd have to kick in another $100... is that possible or not.

Artist doesn't have vst support either unless you buy add-on. It's also 32-bit only. I would jump on the crossgrade offer for pro. Not crapping on artist because it is surprisingly capable for those who can make most of stock plugins.

Same question for me but I purchased at Audiodeluxe (with an additional discount) and they don't propose the specific crossgrade from Cakewalk (contrary to JRR Shop). So do you think there is a possibility ?

Enigmatic and Mixmkr on this thread, are in the same case.
I can send a mail to Presonus . At Jrr, the offer is more advantageous, with the additional discount, it costs 126,65 $.

JRR offered me the CTC-1pro software free as an alternative and said that's what they plan to do for those purchasing PRIOR to crossgrade pricing.  I didn't really want CTC-1pro...and told them so...and they counter offered with a $50 gift certificate.   I will probably go with that as that seems pretty generous...and slightly more than the savings via the crossgrade.  I had actually asked to pay the difference towards a faderport, and they said they were out.  I had just bought a faderport8 from them (they were also out of those but dropped shipped from Presonus), and I'm still waiting to see if they will honor that offer.
I hate to "bargin" with a "refund"...but I also was encouraged on the Presonus forums to jump on the BF deal before it ended....to then see pricing drop even further with the crossgrade.
