Thank You scook you have been a big help too me all the best, Kenny PS , I love how you can say more in one sentence while fixing the problem at the source than some of us here can say in our + 5000 words posts . I have a " friend I know " that thinks he can skip scale practice after writing up his long winded wing dinger posts... To protect the innocent , I wont mention his name

Maybe Steve could tell us if there's any particular way he became so knowledgeable? Was it by using the program constantly, reading the documentation cover-to-cover, searching on terms as needed...I'm sure it's all of the above, but maybe there's a method to how he learns things from which we all could benefit.

I'm convinced scook does the total opposite of what I would do maybe even a few others around here Kenny

No real methodology. I have never read the doc cover to cover or the SONAR Power! series (although I have several of them). In fact, I do not use many of the features in SONAR. Google searches of the forum, searching the help along with heavy use of the index and conducting simple tests with new projects solve most of the problems posted here. It probably helped that I worked in IT for decades and spent some time recording before DAWs.

Interesting, that's what I do too. Nothing has taught me as much about SONAR as trying to fix other people's problems. I was kinda hoping you had a "magic bullet," but thanks much for replying!

So, if Steve moves to any DAW (Reaper/S1Pro/Mixbus/Mixcraft et.al.) he'd be just as effective on day one?

You're especially a big help to someone like me who is blind. Maybe if you send me an email, we can keep in touch if I have questions about Sonar.
I Dream of Australia, France, and Canada, three wonderful nations that represent who I really am.
