Spitfire Audio's BML Brass Libraries vs. Cinebrass

(I posted this in the "software" forum, but I can hear a pin drop in there, so I thought I'd come to where there are actually people breathing)

Hello everyone,

First I want to apologize because I know these types of questions get asked and answered all the time, but since everything is so expensive, I'd like to hear the opinions of people I trust. This forum and its users have always been extremely helpful.

Over the past year I've been steadily upgrading my sample libraries, but the best brass that I have is what's in Garritan's Personal Orchestra. So, I'm in the market for a brass library. I really love 8Dio's products (I own all of their Adagio strings and their Claire flute, clarinet, oboe, and bassoon), but they unfortunately don't have any brass instruments (outside of their CAGE Brass, which is more an effects library). Using the GPO brass alongside the 8Dio stuff really exposes the difference in quality. Since I have no idea if or when they will be releasing their solo brass instruments, I'm looking into the other major virtual instrument makers' brass selections. I've heard good things about both Spitfire Audio's BML Brass libraries and Cinebrass Core and Pro, but I'm looking for other people's opinions on these two products. Keep in mind that I intend to use them with my 8Dio strings and woodwinds instruments, so their ability to play nice together will factor into my decision.

Have any of you used either of these products (or something else that you found really good) and could give me your opinion?

I appreciate it! Thank you!

P.S. I work mainly a video game music composer.

Have you checked out Kirk Hunter's Concert Brass II ( http://www.kirkhunterstudios.com/products_cbrs_ii.html )? I have Diamond Orchestra and Spotlight Strings (SS = really nice!). Diamond has pretty good brass but I'm thinking of upgrading.

I have cinebrass core and concert brass 2. My opinion is that cinebrass is fantastic sounding and you wouldn't be disappointed at all. If you had the pro package to go with it I don't think you would need anything else for a core setup . It has much better trumpets than concert brass which sound a little synthetic to me.
I use LA scoring strings along with cinebrass plus Virtual Sound Stage and QL spaces to glue them together and I'm very happy. I have heard rumours that there with be an LA scoring brass released in the fairly near future but when I couldn't say.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I think I'm leaning toward getting Cinebrass. Considering budget concerns, I may just go with Core for now, get used to how the library works, then save up for Pro. Chris Hein Horns looks really good, but I think that for the type of music I will be writing, a more orchestral sound will work better. I'm reading up on Hollywood Brass Gold or Diamond too. I love all the articulations and flexibility of the library, but I'm not sure I want to devote a ton of time trying to familiarize myself with Play. Kontakt has worked like a dream from the beginning for me and I stubbornly don't want to switch to a new player. >_<

I'm open to hearing more people's opinions if anyone else wants to chime in. I'm really curious if anyone has used the Spitfire libraries extensively.
