Splat 2016.12 PRV Kybd and Note Display Not In Alignment?
Working in PRV I'm finding the kybd is not aligned to the note area. This has happened before but returned to normal quickly. Now it is unaligned again?
Driving me a bit batty today...
Anyone else finding this?

This has been broken for years. Some releases are slightly better than others but it keeps coming back. 2016.12 is the worst in a while. At this point I'm assuming it's by design. Cakewalk won't fix it and don't seem to care.

I agree - it's been broken for years. The best approach is to mouse over the notes in the PRV and watch the pop-up menu.
Sonar Platinum, EWHO/D, Spitfire, Miroslav, Pianoteq, ...., Kurzweil.

If you click the +/- vertical zoom button, the display will sync itself. Why they can't just make the window do that every time it opens I have no clue. I understand it's hard/impossible to reproduce this 100% of the time, but I can make it happen within a few tries. With 2016.12 it doesn't seem to even need that. Start with an empty SONAR, drag in a simple multiple track MIDI file, maximize it to fill the window/show as many tracks as you can. Double click on each midi track/blob to open the PRV, check the alignment, close it, double click on another one. With 10 MIDI tracks I'm almost 100% sure to find one of them has the disconnect between the keys and the lanes.

Thanks Guys...
I've had it happen before, but it went away...
Msorrels... I will try your work around today... I can read the grid itself for the notes but with the highlight moving with the mouse my eye continually gets confused and I make too many mistakes...
I am using 2016.12
Here's hoping...

I saw this too, 2016.10. I closed and reopened the prv and it was fine.

Previously, simply closing and re-opening cleared it for me too...
But in 2016.12 it's constant...
I'm gonna try the zoom buttons today and see if that forces a re-align...

Yeah 2016.12 seems to "remember" the bad sync on a per-track basis. Once a track is "bad" closing the PVR isn't enough to reset it. Instead just press either of the vertical zoom buttons and everything should be normal until you close the window. Then you may or may not see it again when you reopen it, some randomness there.

I agree - it's been broken for years.
I'm pretty sure this was never a problem before the first release of Platinum in January, 2015. So, technically, we're a month away from being able to say 'years', plural.  Below is the first report I know of, and it was so new that the actual cause of John's selection problem wasn't described correctly until post #31: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=3153996 I still have never seen it happen in all this time. Not being able to reproduce it is probably why the Bakers haven't fixed it yet.

I had forgotten about that thread. In my case I have not had a encountered the problem for some time now. So I have nothing to add except darn good memory Brundlefly.  I do remember the reason I posted and the issue. It turned out to be a zoom issue. CW did change the amount of zoom allowed in the PRV. Don't ask me when though.

Yes...
I've seen both. I only experienced it once before and it went away quickly...
...but yesterday it was constant during some editing for a client. I didn't know/think to try the zoom buttons for a fix.
I will try this today...
Should I bug this?

Sure enough!
Clicking a zoom button immediately restores alignment.
I have not yet worked where I can see how it holds/applies to opening repeatedly or other clips.
I'll update this when I see some overall uses...
