Split Instrument Track - Messes up track folders

"Split Instrument Track" messes up track folders:

1) create an empty project
2) insert 3 soft synths, each with a MIDI and AUDIO track
3) put audio tracks into one folder, and midi tracks in another

Your project should look like this:

MIDI:
- midi 1
- midi 2
- midi 3
AUDIO:
- audio 1
- audio 2
- audio 3

4) right click first midi track and select "Make Instrument Track"

MIDI:
- midi 1 (synth)
- midi 2
- midi 3
AUDIO:
- audio 2
- audio 3

5) right click first midi track and select "Split Instrument Track"

I now see:

MIDI:
- midi 1
AUDIO:
- audio 1
- midi 2   -- this got moved
- midi 3   -- this got moved
- audio 2
- audio 3

So, the act of splitting midi 1 caused midi 2 and midi 3 to be moved to a different folder.

I get this behavior in both X1c and 8.5.3.

Has anyone reported this bug?

No, because it never would have occurred to me to make an instrument track from MIDI and audio tracks in different folders and then re-split them. I'd either have them in the same folder to begin with, or leave them in the separate folders that I presumably created to keep them separate.

It's definitely a bug, but in terms of designing test cases, I would say that user behavior would be hard to anticipate.

Incidentally, undo works correctly in this case.
