Split a stereo track into mono tracks?

Split a stereo track into mono tracks?

There must be an easy way to split a stereo track into 2 mono tracks and I'm just missing it right?  I'm using X1.

    "Bounce to Track(s)" using the "Split Mono" channel format.

    That's one of the things I like about Sony Vegas Pro.  You can copy a stereo track to two different tracks.  Then choose just the left side on one and the right side on the other.  No bouncing or anything...still have just one file but two separate mono tracks.
