Split clips

Why have the split options changed. It is harder to split now so how do you split the clips?
Why change what is not broke who actually thought of it. Now I'm not sure how to make the groove clips split at the end of each one.
 
So anyone know how to split the grooves into their 4/4 groove??/

    I'll try it later. Then again I think I noticed this.
