Spooky Woman Blues

Here is a slinky little Blues number about a guy who is bewitched by a spooky, strange woman --- however, he doesn't really mind, in fact he kind of likes it.  Nothing fancy about this number.  It is a basic, simple Blues thing but I hope it that it might bring a smile to some.
Comments, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated.
Thanks.

    Freddy!
Slinky Blues is right! You have such an authentic, real voice. What a pleasure ... The harmonies are great and the whole song has a wonderfully live feel. I love it when a lyric forces me to listen. Your direct, honest delivery not only made me listen to the lyrics, but smile at them. They're clever and go just right in this song.
Thanks so much for this song and especially for the atmosphere and for your voice!

Freddy, I have come to love your warm, rich voice over the years.  This song  highlights it very well.  Your lyrics always make me smile, even when you're singing the blues.  As long as you keep cranking them out, I'll keep trying myself.

    All the best,

Sounds great Mr Freddy J!! I can't comment on the mix because I don't know much about mixing. But it sounds great to me. May I suggest one small thing though? It would be cool if you added some type of howl or Ghost sound, or Ghoul type of thing before the main lead, and add a main lead part. I dunno, maybe something like "Spooky woman, Booo oooh ah ha oh baby be spooky for me" then break into a lead part. LOL!!!!!!! I know, probably sounds a bit crazy, but I just wanted to mention my idea.

Enjoyed hearing this one Freddy J!!! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the listen and comments Steve.  I would be very pleased if indeed your band did play this number.  I would love to hear someone's interpretation of my stuff.  Thanks again.

Hey John!  I agree a bit of Blues never hurt anyone.  In fact, listening to the Blues would probably help not hurt.  Thanks for the kind words my furry friend!

Hi Bill.  It is great to see you back on the forum.  I clicked on your link and listened to some of the tunes that you have posted.  Really nice stuff you have on there.  Thanks very much for the kind comments.

Hey Lynn.  Thank you very much for the generous comments and encouragement (the cheque is in the mail).  BTW I love your stuff --- so, I do hope that you keep "cranking them out".

Classic blues. Love the vocals, the bgv's too . . . and the guitar work is very cool and well realized. Nice job!

I think you might want to change the drum meter - is it currently playing a straight four-beat pattern with no swing? But the rest of your instrumentation all has swing feel, doesn't it? Just a thought.

    cool tune!

Hi Allan.  I am very glad that you enjoyed this one.  Thanks for the nice feedback.

Hey Serious_Noize! I think you might have something with your suggestion.  I'll have to search through my wav clip files to see if I might have something that would fit.  Thanks for the listen and suggestion.

Hi Tom.  Thanks for the feedback.  I use wav loops for the drums (I don't have the talent, skills, or patience to program them).  I will check my wav files to see if I might have something that I could substitute.  If I can't I may just have to try programming them ----------- if I can take the frustration  ;>)       Thanks again!

Hey Jean-Phillippe.  Thank you for taking the time to listen and for the kind comments.  I appreciate it.

    Enjoyed, enjoyed!
    As to programming drums:
"if I can take the frustration"
Freddy, I hear ya! Its the drums that take the most time.

Thanks Tom.  Drums, Drums, Drums, and I also add MIDI to my list of frustrations.  Thanks for the kind words and understanding.  That is some great Blues that you have put up on your last posts!!
