Staff View Snap Functions Bug Workaround (X2a)

It took me an hour to find a workaround for this bug, and I am sharing it with those musicians who use the staff view.

In X2a, when you select a small-value note, such as a 32nd note the snap function works correctly. But then when you go back to a larger value note, such as a quarter note, the snap to function "sticks" on the smaller value, in this case the 32nd note.  Definitely a bug.

The workaround:  Whenever you select a dotted or triplet note of any value and then go back to a non-dotted or non-triplet note, the staff view snap functions again correctly.

So, keybind any of the triplet or dotted notes (I chose the dotted whole-note, the first one) and then just hit that key and the snap functions will then respond to the larger note values as they should in the first place.  I keybinded TAB because it is an easy key for my left hand to hit when I have the mouse in my right hand.

Not ideal, but there's not much in our world that is.

    Thanks for the tip.

You're welcome!  Of course I submitted the file and bug report to CW so that they might choose to get around to fixing it.   I know you're one of the people around here that uses the staff view.  I have to say I've done a complete turnaround on X2a.  It is very stable on my system and I am growing to love the tabbed/locked views that allow me to have 4, 5 or more staff views open at once.  this has sped up my workflow a lot.  I've also warmed up to the new interface, it is very clean and easy on the eye.  My gripes with the staff view still remain, but I did download DP8 for Windows and, lo and behold, DP8 also does not display dotted triplets correctly, albeit it does display tied triplets correctly.  So is the grass greener on the other side?  I think so...
