Staff View-Tablature

I want to 'Export to ASCII'(Write tablature to text file) and I have 8 bars of music written on the staff in Staff View but.... the 'Tab' button on the Toolbar is greyed out.
I already have applied the 'HS2Plugin_Patch'.
What's up?

    Unless they've changed it, TAB does not function in Home Studio. The button is there, but not active.
