Stand-Alone Fantom VS & ARX Editor Installer Temporarily Unavailable UPDATED 7/21/2011

UPDATE 7/21/2011:

I'm pleased to announce this has been resolved and the stand-alone Fantom VS & ARX Editor installer is back.

You can access it at http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013246

As always, if anyone is running into difficulty getting the Fantom VS Editor to work with SONAR, please try following the instructions here. If this does not resolve your problem, please give our Support Team a call so we can assist you directly.

Best regards,

Hi Everyone,

We recently discovered a specific installation scenario in which the stand-alone Fantom VS & ARX Editor Installation might install a component incorrectly.

The result was that some users would experience the message "Unable to read/write data" when inserting the Fantom VS Editor despite having configured everything correctly as suggested in the steps found here.  This would only affect some users running SONAR on a 32-bit operating system or 32-bit SONAR on a 64-bit operating system.

In light of this discovery, we have temporarily taken down the stand-alone Fantom VS and ARX Editor Installation while we work on a fix. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you are or were affected by this error message, please read on.

If you are running SONAR on a 32-bit Operating System, you can resolve this by:

Navigating to C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins

Deleting the "Fantom VS" folder contained within
Re-installing the Fantom VS Editor from your SONAR Producer installation disc. You can do this by selecting "Advanced Installation" and selecting to install the "Fantom VS Synth Editor" on the Select Components screen.

If you are running 32-bit SONAR on a 64-bit Operating System, you can resolve this by:

Going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins
Deleting the "Fantom VS" folder contained within
Re-installing the Fantom VS Editor from your SONAR installation disc. You can do this by selecting "Advanced Installation" and selecting to install the "Fantom VS Synth Editor" on the Select Components screen.

If you are running a 64-bit SONAR, then this does not apply to you. If you are having errors with your Fantom VS, you will want to install the Fantom VS x64 Hotfix. You can find this here.
