Larry, Have you come back from your journey yet. You sounded like you didn't know where you were going and that you may have been trapped, then the spaceship took off on a long journey, but I don't know if it has returned yet. Let us know how you trip was, where you went, how you got out of the trap, etc; etc. Nice! John

For a minute there I thought maybe your studio had been invaded by extraterrestrials and they were taking you away, but you managed to turn on your DAW recorder just before they beamed you up. And then it was realy nice of those little green men to let you come back for your acoustic guitar right towards the end, that was a nice touch. It sounds like you had lots of fun making this one, er ah, on your journey.

Nothing wrong with doing this Larry, I liked it. The bass-line is strong enough to keep the momentum while you take in all the bleeps & blurps, and that's a really nice section when the bass drops out too, through to the end.

Lots of reference points coming through here, Tangerine Dream, Moody Blues, Kraftwerk, - you can't hide your influences under electonics!

Hey Everyone First let me just say that the beer absolutely sucks in deep space! I also think I may have been violated. LOL.

Jeff -I think I took a walk to the "Dark Side" by doing this. LOL. I laid that bass-line down with my Yamaha 4 string about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure what I was gonna do with it ( almost tossed it ) and then got "creative".

Frank - After doing this, I need to "cuddle" with my acoustic. Yeah! Something sane & mellow now.

John - The little green men booted me off the mother-ship! They don't have any toilets on board! Bummer!

Tom - Yes they were a merciful bunch in letting me record and grab the acoustic. I think Duane is in league with them! You ever see that thing he has called a dog??????

Randy - I was told to give you this message. "Go all in! Don't look at the cards!"

Matt - I see you are schooled in the art of symbolisim as well. Something tells me that you were abducted as well once. &

James - Thanks pal! Be sure to cover your house in tin-foil. They're watching you!

Duane - That's because only real humans can access SoundClick. You fell right into my trap! New Mexico? Going there to fuel up the mother-ship with our oil are we? No wonder our gas prices are so darn high! You won't get away with this!

    Larry,
Way to indulge those wild hairs. This is a fun little excursion. Interesting meter. Would that be 9/8?
That bass could use a little...
Just kidding. Sorry, couldn't resist. The bass line lends a nice, cohesive thread to this.
It's different, but I really like it. Have to agree, that acoustic bit at the end is a nice touch

Man, what a blast! I enjoyed that very much. Stark contrast, indeed - a contrast to your usual stuff. Still, I fell right into this psychedelic caleidoscope-like world. Nice use of synths and sounds, man. I love the acoustic when it came in toward the end ...
    Yeah, you gotta love that!

This is extremely cool and sounds fantastic, i heard it the other day but didn't have time to post.
The only thing that irks me slightly is the use of arpeggiated synths which are not locked to the tempo but i do think it's excellent and probably wat better than you think.

    markus - Thaaaaaannnnkkkkkssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doc - Thanks for the listen man! It's much appreciated.

Robert - What hairs???!! The meter is 9 1/2/8 1/2. LOL. Leave my bass alone man!! Thanks for the "thumbs-up". This was just a goof.

Heinz - This was fun to do! I would add stuff to this each day and just build on this. Yeah, it was a pretty ending. I didn't want to drag it out too much so it would start sounding a bit obnoxious. Glad it took you to another "place".

Bill - Thanks for giving this a listen. To be honest, I thought I was gonna get ridiculed for doing this. Thanks for the comments and that you thought it was decent.

Nick - I hear you on those arpeggiated synths. I'll work on that. I'm still trying to find my way around with all the "bells & whistles" on these hardware synths. It'll happen. Thanks for the encouraging words, and yes, I didn't expect this kind of feedback on this song. I guess never too old to try different things!

Tony - Thanks for popping in and checking this one out. I know you think I'm nuts!!

Joao - If I take 1 more "hit" on top of the 5 I already took, I'll never return to earth! You know I was doing this for fun?? Many colors man!

MoXom - Hey dude! Glad you enjoyed this. I hope I didn't spin your head around with this one. I wasn't born with a "right" head and the chemicals stayed with me from the 60's & 70's. Woooosshhhh!!

Larry, flashbacks again, eh!! I stopped doing that stuff because the crash was getting too hard! Seriously........good stuff, chaotic stormy start, then mellows out to that smooth acoustic in the end. Really good composition and some real relaxing sounds.

What a trip.., I knew it... "The Truth is Out There"

Unbelievable, Larry, I wish I had one tenth of your creativity!
I took a trip over to your page and to the SMB page as well and really enjoyed listening to all of it. Very professional sounding. It is all mixed and produced so well. But even more importantly, all of the songs have so much emotion and have this way of drawing the listener in to the mood of the song. In my opinion that is the end goal of all song writers/composers.

    -Pete

By the way, The Kool Kat, one of my favorites, I kept going back to that one. Love the sound of that Strat.

Larry, you're cracking me up. This one triggered some heavy duty neurotransmitters, I saw some things I haven't seen in thirty five years, back in the days of personal chemistry research and headphones. I can see you're having a great time with your new toys. Real fun to listen to.
