Start recording on MIDI input

Sorry if this already has been suggested. If so, please point me to the thread, since I cannot find it. Anyway, I have been playing pretty much lately with my E-mu Command Station, that is a synth/groove box with a 16 track sequencer. One of the many things I love about it is that in the record count in section, besides the usual bar and beat options I can select start on MIDI input. The sequencer then will start recording when the first note, or controller change, is received.

Since I tend to play a little ahead of the beat, this makes it trivial to start playing on the downbeat. It would be great if Sonar could do the same thing.
