Start/Stop Sonar Playlist with Boss GT-100 Guitar Processor

Hi everyone,
 
Does anyone know if it's possible to Start/Stop the Sonar Playlist feature (which starts a Project Sequence) with the Boss GT-100 Guitar Effects Processor by going Midi-In into Sonar? The GT-100 has a pedal function "Midi Start", and a pedal function "MMC Play", but I haven't been able to get either of these to work.
 
Your input and/or directions on how to do this would be very appreciated.
