Steam Cakewalk - Sound Center Pack Complete Bundle - can I use it on Sonar X3 Studio?

This seems like an excellent deal:

but it says that it will only work on Sonar / MC6T purchased from Steam.

However, I am sure that I read somewhere that it is possible to use these Steam bought add-ons on Sonar bought from Cakewalk.
Can anyone please confirm or otherwise?
 
Also, I am torn between this and the more expensive but "larger" IK Total Workstation deal here --> http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/totalworkstationxl/  
I have some of the Xpansion Tank 2 modules and really love them and use them alot.

    i was told that they only work with other steam-purchased cakewalk stuff, like a parallel reality, but it would be best to get a reply from cakewalk themselves, steam forum might be quicker ;-)

    Yes I was hoping that someone from Cakewalk might reply officially.  At the end of the day it's all revenue for them so I assume they care whether I buy it or not. If not then I will head down the Sampletank 3 route.
