I had this problem myself this week.  I have multiple Sonar instances (MC5, MC5, SHS7, X1 Essential, etc) and WIndows 7 x64.  It was installing under the 32 bit program files directory, but runnung the 64 bit CSC.

I Changed the selection of "components to install" in the DSF Steinway install and that seemed to correct the situation (although I went through a lot of other gyrations before that that may have had an effect).

I had the same problem and I believe it was due to having the Cakewalk Sound Center installed in the Program Files (x86) folder instead of the Program Files folder since I am using Windows 7 64-bit. I believe I uninstalled it and then reinstalled in the Program Files folder and that resolved the problem.

Copy of move the folder from the Program Files x86 folder to the one in Program Files.

PROBLEM SOLVED, DSF WORLD INSTRUMENTS EXPANSION

With World Instruments expansion, there is no custom install available. The expansion installs to the Program Files folder. I've been a Cakewalk user since DOS and I still have a 32 bit version on my machine. Both the 64 bit Sonar and the 32 bit Sonar use the 32 bit folder, which did not get the expansion. I copied (merged) the 64 bit Sound Center to the 32 bit folder in Program Files (x86).
