Step Recording questions

Hi

1. Is there a way by quantizing (or any other way) to humanize a step recording? i.e. apply small random " miss" timings to the recording?

2. Am I right in thinking that it necessary to toggle step recording temporarily to off to do anything in the main arrange window? I.e. delete a note or a clip, or even to move the Now time?

Thanks.

Select the midi clips you want to humanise, then go to the process menu, select "Run CAL", and select the "Humanise" program from the file list. It'll give you a little box to put a percentage value in, you'll have to experiment to see what suits you.

There is an option to set an offset but you'd need to adjust that as you go else the offset will be consistent rather defeating the option.

I'd go with the Cal script mentioned by John T above.
