Step Sequencer confusion

greetings, I'm pretty new to this, so I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I pawed through sonar power (book), various tutorials, etc, and struck out. I set up session drummer so each instrument goes to a track, and all seems great. When I open step sequencer (clicking on the button at the top left of session drummer) the instruments in the sequencer don't match the drum tracks that have been created when I inserted session drummer. Several sequencer rows are listed as things like handclaps and sidesticks, both of which just trigger a snare shot. Any suggestions what I did wrong? Can you edit the row instrument assignments in the sequencer? Thanks a lot! This forum has been a life saver. w

Yes. The numbers with the up and down arrows will change to the drum sample you want. When you get what you want, save it. Go to options name it and save it.
