Step recording whit Cakewalk?

Hello,

For now I"m using MC 5 and I would like to know if I can do
MIDI steprecording in this program?

If not is there another program that can do steprecording?
For example: can Sonar Essentials do that in/whit the
MIDI sequencer?

I can not find the answer in the product pages.

Thank you in advance.

Salleke.

    essentials can do step right.
i hope im understanding you correctly here.

i step right in the piano roll view.
are you furmiliar with a PRV ?

if not look it up on you tube and watch a few vids.

you can step right everything except audio instruments(wave file) things like guitar you plug in,vocals, exc.

though you can get very indepth.
they make guitar midi synths so you can get great results with that.
and Vvocal in x2 essentials will let you basically step write your vocals(or better said fine tune, tweak the notes that are off a little bit.)

im almost positive MC 5  has piano roll view,or PRV for short.
    look into it.hope this helped.

    .
What about Help files/manual? They are the place to look first, when you know what you're looking for.

I can't remember if MC5 has step recording for MIDI, but I think it probably does.  if you can't find it in the help files like Kalle suggests, I'll see if I can look that up for you tonight or tomorrow.
