Step sequencer position does not scroll after 1st iteration of "looped" clip (2017.01)

Hi all!
 
When I create a 1 bar step sequence and then loop the clip by dragging the right edge, the position indicator in the step sequencer window stops scrolling after the 1st loop iteration. I'm using Sonar Platinum 2017.01.
 
To reproduce:

1. Open up the Step sequencer on an empty MIDI track.
2. In the step sequener, create a bar length loop by clicking in a few notes.
3. In the track view, drag the right edge of the clip to create several looped iterations of the sequence.
4. Press play and watch the Step sequencer window: you should only see the position indicator scrolling by once during the first bar.

Can anyone else reproduce?
