Stereo interleave and phase buttons
So wait, the Stereo interleave and phase buttons are never getting put back into track view now?!
hahaha Ok, just kidding...I've been asking Cakewalk to do this since they moved from 8.5 to the X series. The fact that they didn't listen to their customers and made really poor decisions like removing those buttons from track view showed that there was only a number of years until the company went belly up.
I still maintain whoever made the decision to remove the phase and stereo interleave buttons from track view should have been fired from the company immediately. But that's what happens when a company takes advice from people who don't use a program in a professional manner. You end up with dumb**** decisions that erode the quality and functionality of the program.
Anyway - time to move to another daw. Sonar, we hardly knew ye!

They don't even listen to regular users. I asked that the ACT MIDI interface be revamped to be a more user friendly MIDI mapping scheme almost a YEAR ago. It's clear to me, that they weren't even trying to compete with Ableton in this regard. Who wants to struggle with ACT? That was the start of me having serious doubts. Then my software synths started having bugs. I don't blame the Cakewalk team, though. I blame the management. This is ultimately why they failed, they turned a blind eye to what users were actually wanting. EDIT: I will add that I bought the lifetime update scheme thinking that Cakewalk would actually LISTEN to its user base and be responsive on features and bugs. That, in my personal experience is not what happened. Almost all the problems I have had I have had to fix myself by some sort of workaround. In this sense, I do not think I got what I paid for in this Bulls*it lifetime subscription scheme.

Never fails. Chuck will come defend this sh*tshow even when it's clearly dead. The company folded because they were unwilling to listen to customers. EDIT: Or did not have the resources to implement meaningful changes for customers BECAUSE OF GIBSON.

im not defending anyone. I just think beating a dead horse isnt going to help anyone. Why are you here ? To smear in Cakewalks face "I told you so" ? People lost their jobs, no less people lost their jobs right before the holidays. they have familys. Im sure while they are trying to buy their kids Christmas presents they will regret your ACT requests.

What's your point? You're trying to make me feel guilty about the holidays? Nice play. We are talking business here. How about Gibson refunds my damn money for this subscription then I can have a happy holiday? How about they refund me for the time I had to completely re-install Sonar because of a Windows update? For the guys at Cake, I feel sorry. For Gibson, I feel no remorse. Especially for it's management. And that includes more than just Henry.

You have every right to complain and feel the way you do. Im sorry. While I don't feel it necessary to pile on to a bad situation right now. im not anyone to be telling you how to feel or what to say. You have every right to be angry. Hope you accept my apology.

I'm keeping sonar for awhile and going to invest in cooloutboard synths...they work awesome with SONAR and i hate virtual knobs...yay.

I think this really needs a little more thought.
Cakewalk has always listened to it's user base. That was a strong point for them.
Just because a particular item not being addresses is no reason to slam them in this way.
The amount of decisions, available worker time and other similar issues are involved.
Cakewalk was a great company... they went under for other reasons.
I wouldn't be surprised if all of the DAW softwares lose money. High end programming and low prices? How do you do that. Anyone familiar with the cost of medical software?
Chuck is simply laughing at the thought that one such simple issue is the reason for failure.
How about you pick your next DAW and with the way larger number of issues needing addressing, try to get that company to do what you want?
If you find one, let me know and we can have them turn it into an upgraded version of Sonar!

I understand people have complaints but some people simply can not be satisfied no matter what you tell them or what you do. They complain because they like to. it becomes a habit. The squeaky wheel gets the grease so they wait in line for their hand out. My answer to them are.. "Have fun". The sad thing is, this hurts people with legitimate complaints who are trying to better the product and fix bugs.

Yes... and as it happens, I agree I would OD have liked the buttons returned to TV as well as a myriad of other issues.
Only so much can be done within a time frame. Difficult decisions to make but I believe overall, the Bakers addressed this well!
I miss them so much already!
