Stereo to Mono

Ive figured out how to convert audio to mono...Does anybody know how to switch it over to mono when im recording, so i dont have to convert to mono?

    You should be able to select the mono source via the input select drop down in the audio track. Selecting a mono source will create a mono audio track.

    What are you recording? Why don't you record it in mono right from the start?
    If you have two sound sources, like two mics, that's another thing. Then you inevitably get two mono tracks or one stereo track, because you can not select two separate inputs for a single  mono track (AFAIK, or is there an "all inputs" option??).
