It works fine here.  After scanning it comes up as SSD Sampler.  Is your ssdsampler.dll with your other dlls?  Are you using 32 or 64 bit?

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

I am using Sonar 64 bit.  Do I need to put SSD in a different folder?  Right now it is in its own folder on the C drive    should I put it in the VST plugins folder?

YES or direct Sonar where to look for it.  Personally I keep all of my 64 bit VSTi dlls in one folder.

Mine is working as well.  In the plug-in manager it appears under the "VST Instruments (VSTi)" section as "SSDSampler."  I was going to post a screenshot but couldn't get it to work.

Try looking for it in the plug-in manager; you may have to add it to your soft-synth list manually.

Forgive me for asking a dumb question, but since you're still having problems, did you check to see that the folder that contains ssdsampler.dll is listed in the plug-in manager search path?  To check this, go to "VST Configuration" toward the bottom of the plug-in manager and click "Options."  Make sure that the folder that contains the dll is listed.  If not, add it to the list.

I don't think you even need to have the actual sound files or license to start the GUI -- just the dll-file.  You can load those after you start the GUI.

ok   I will try that  I did realize that I needed to install the sampler and the library.  which means that after putting disc 2 in to complete the library install  I had to put disc 1 in again  so now I have a dll file at least    but I still cant seem to steer the plug in manager to it.  I will try more tomorrow   thanks again everyone

Make sure and hit the refresh button for your kits to appear. Refresh in the SSD4 instrument that is.
