Stop bumping negative threads!

I think discussions are fine but but some these threads where someone just saying cakewalk sucks and yada yada yada do nothing for anyone.

But these threads always get bumped up there again and again ever since I've been using the forum. But lately it's seems worse then ever.

It would take all the validity out of these treads if no one replied.

    Agreed.
I wish that someone would give some of the more long term and frequent members some mod permissions to just nip it in the bud.

Quite embarrasing for the whole sonar community. That's not negative, it is a positive suggestion.

It would be nice if someone threw a Cakewalk bashing party and no one showed up.

The problem is that there are a few that agree with the bashers. I think some of it is an attempt to encourage the bashing.

I'll admit they are fun to check out. Then I'll see something and I gotta post or get involved in a side discussion. But when they are up there forever it seems and people are trying to reason and fights start it gets old.

Is it ironic to bump a thread about not bumping negative thread when the word negative is in the title of said thread?

i think bapu said it best when he said "its like a train wreck i cant stop watching"
i feel the same way, then you read something you know is totaly bogus and you dont want that claim up there and people believing it so you reply to clear things up.then you get sucked in like a vaccum.

Some may have noticed I gave up getting involved in those threads long ago so I'm pleading "Not Guilty" M'laud.

I feel nothing but sorry for a user who is using a product that they aren't happy with but rather than buy one of the many alternatives and move on, just posts on and on about how crap it is (Whether they have 1 or 26000+ posts).

Very sad. Undoubtedly a shrink could have a field day.

Have I just bumped this one? Oooh woops.....

I do have a kind of grim curiosity surrounding those threads. Long ago on a different forum I came up with the dot "." post. It was the absolute minimum amount I could say.

Then I realized even that was too much...
