Stop - keyboard jazz

Had two piano riffs from an old recording lying around. Added Wurlitzer and bass.

Greetings!

That was pretty cool. The piano was overpowering the other instruments a bit. Would like to hear them up in the mix. I think a sax section would fit right into this one.

Thanks a lot Chappel! Said and done! Lowered the piano and elevated the Wurlitzer. Unfortunately I have no access to a saxophone.

Constantly I have updated this several times today since I wasn't satisfied with most of how the Wurlitzer was played. Hopefully it sounds better now?

    K,

I love your music.  This is another very clever and well done piece.  I think the wurlitzer sounds great...as does everything else.   Bass is outstanding.   Is it a real bass?  sounds very real to me.

    This makes me sick.

It's that good...just makes me sick.

Love the playing and it sounds like a good mix to me.  I agree that the bass is amazing too.  But someone can seriously tickle those ivories!

Veerrry cool.  Sounds great- the playing is terrific,  but I love the composition.  It's sort of like jazz with just a kiss of a hip-hop feel.

No How: I'm just waiting for someone to call my bluff. In this, from kickdrum to the brightest Wurlitzer ton, is midi all the way. I wouldn't dare to play any of this live. Glad you liked it any way. Thanks for listening and stopping by.
Janet: As said above - all is midi. Thinking about shifting to Natives Alicia Keyes piano from Ivory. Sounds amazingly natural. Thank you kindly for nice comments!
    Notnat: Thanks maestro. Nice.
Freddy: So glad you liked the composition, the most important part for me. Thanks!
The Rebel: Drums are XLN's Addictive Drums. I should have put some more effort in varying them a bit more when programed. Perhaps if there will be vocals on this I'll do that. Thnx Rebel!

Midi all the way?  Well, that makes me feel a little better.  lol  You're shifting AWAY from Ivory?  I'm quite happy with Ivory myself, but I'd be interested in hearing Natives Alicia Keyes in an a/b comparison.

No How: Sorry for forgetting... The bass is Scarbee J Fingered (jam bass). Slightly affected by some bass modulator in Guitar Rig 3 LE (which came with Sonar 8, I beleive). It was originally sampled for Gigastudio (have mercy on its soul). I use some gigasounds via Samplelord which doesn't handle the sounds as accurately as GS did but GS was a computer disaster. Many times I ended up with BSoD after hours of work so I don't really miss it.

This IS rich sounding. Wow!  Little hard to a/b it with 'Stop', but I see what you mean.  I think Ivory could do that though with some tweaks.  But I guess I wouldn't bet the farm on it....

This is a really fun vamp to jam on (and listen to), but I kept wanting to hear a bridge with some harmonic movement.....go to the IV chord and take it from there!

I'm not really getting the harmonic intent of your bridge, starting around 1:36.  You 'sell it' because of the groove, but I think I could tweak that part for you quite easily.  If you want to send me the MIDI, even just for that section I'd be glad to play with it.
