Stopped by a bug at last

Here's one that'll make all the "nay sayers"™ happy, I've finally found a bug that I can't work round and in a very unusual place for me - the staff view.

I hardly ever use it but thought I'd print out some guitar chord diagrams for when I'm teaching, better than drawing them on chord boxes, or so I thought........

The bug? I can't print from the staff view. I've searched on here and tried the 'workrounds' of undocking & unfloating the view but it doesn't work for me. The print options are greyed out. Just thought I'd share that so those that think I'm "blind to the bugs" know - I am no longer - I've seen the light. Now who do I contact for my refund?

This will be fixed in X1b.

I have the same problem. I hit solo in the staff view and then I could do CTR+P and print but print was still grayed out..

So the title bar of the Staff View window is solid blue, not transparent (a.k.a. Aero "glass"), and Ctrl-P didn't get it either? Or do you have Ctrl-P bound to something else?

    Yes, solid.

and Ctrl-P didn't get it either?

Ctrl-P brings up a "Staff View Print Configure" dialogue box that doesn't lead anywhere, ok might as well be cancel

Or do you have Ctrl-P bound to something else?

No, Ctrl -P shows in the menu as "Print........" but it's greyed out.

    Hi FastBiker,

Until Xb, view the Staff view, click on the PrtScn button, or ALT + PrtScn, and then paste it in a graphics editing program such as Paint, PhotoShop, Corel Photopaint, GIMP, etc. Finally, crop, and print from there. If you own the creative Suite, you could create a PDF of the compiled chord charts for the song in Indesign. A bit of a trouble, but it will get you what you want.

    @OP

I see. It's ok for you to complain now that one of the known bugs has effected you, but it wasn't ok for the rest of us all along.

RTFX1b fix list. It's been addressed. No need to be spreading hate with your unnecessary post.

Sucks when it's coming at you doesn't it?

    Bub,

I hope you're just kidding.  FBB has been a terrifically helpful soul around here.   I don't recall him making others feel bad about having problems.

So I do hope this was in jest?

I'll go edit it out if you think it might be over the top.

OK, I'll admit I was being a wise guy... and I also want to state that Fast Biker Boy has been incredibly kind and generous in all ways when we correspond or refer to each others posts.

I just couldn't resist making emphasis of the notion that there was one more work around we can all be proud to have to learn. But t is also true that I do use poen and paper.

Anyways... it seems like honesty is in order in this situation.

    all the best FBB!
