Looks like it'll miss us in Scotland (for once), but England and Wales are due to get hit pretty bad around midnight tonight. Stay safe down there!

Might just get Sir Strummy he should be to the north of its current predicted track.  They say the worst is going to be south of the low which will track across the middle low half of the UK.

Consequently us here in the south (Jonbuoy) and south east (me) are gonna get clobbered.  Been battening down the hatches.

Thanks for the positive thoughts if you hear nothing in the next twenty four you know it did not go to plan, after that send out the search parties.

If we don't hear anything; hopefully, it will just be that the internet connection is down.  Stay dry.

Our forum friend Malcom lives on the Isle of Wright.  Hope you are OK.  I read that the storm had severe winds over there last night.

    Storm?

I reckon we were lucky. It was a bit windy & a bit damp, but nothing at all damaging "round our way"

Several damaged trees in the local recreation ground, one a total loss, observed whilst walking the canine this morning, a number of other tree related incidents noted whilst going to recuse my ankle biters fence which wanted to be in the carpark next to her habitat.

Other than that I think we may have escaped the worst as Karen said 99mph recorded.  The BBC are now reporting four fatalities one which involved a gas explosion after a downed tree destroyed three houses.  Young lad who was swimming got washed out to sea, sad.

We were lucky as it passed about 50 miles south of here.

Lots of rain but the wind didn't get up at all.
