Strange Distortion

Let's start from the beginning, I've been using Music Creator 5 for about a week with a UA-4FX external sound card (really nice sounds it puts out BTW). I like it a lot and record a ton of stuff with it. The problem is that I get strange *bup* sounds like it never really actually received the signal. Then I started using the vst-plugin, the Amplitude XGear from IK Multimedia. It made the sound so much clearer getting rid of the first problem.  Now the main problem is, whenever I use this vst-plugin, I get exteremly strange distorted sounds. Out of nowhere I'll get this distorted sound. It annoys the living crap out of me and would like to get rid of it. Any ideas?

It sounds like the trial period is up and since you are an owner, all you need to do is properly register the VST plug in with the IK servers. Once that is done the "strange sound" will go away.

If you don't know how to do this....look in the program files>IK Multimedia folder.... there is ( in my folder) a PDF that tells you how to do the registration process.

I understand the process, but I don't know where to get my serial number. I might have just thrown it out or something.  Can I get a new one or am I completely screwed?

The serial number should be on the disk sleeve

You should NEVER throw away the disk sleeve, or delete the emails in fact you should always print them out and save them.

Well, is there anything I can do to get a new serial number or am I officially screwed and can never unleash the VST-plugin full potential.

Good.... the box version is best.

Did you keep the DVD sleeve?  The sleeve has 2 big freaking YELLOW stickers on the back side...one with the MC5 serial and the other with the Amplitude serial..... somehow you didn't think that they were important enough to save?
