Strange Font On New Install

Hello,

I just bought a new laptop and threw Sonar on it and I am for the first time seeing strange font in the dialog prompts such as this:
 

 
see how it is kinda like a bold system font?

I have never seen it look like this before.   
 
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks Anderton, but that didn't do the trick and it is altering fonts my system uses that makes other things look weird.   I will keep poking around.  It's weird because on my other machine, the fonts look right.
