Strange Midi Behavior

I am using TX16Wx as a softsynth and pre-made midi files refuse to trigger it.  The virtual keyboard will without issue and if I draw notes on the piano roll it will trigger fine but existing notes on the piano roll do nothing.  It shows midi activity on the meters but nothing happens.  I have checked for velocity ranges but that is fine, I even tested it by drawing multiple notes and varying the velocity and from 1 to 127, a drawn note will trigger but one that exists in my imported midi file simply does nothing.

I can't find any sysex info that should be causing it and no controller info I can see either.

This is very odd.

I have had the same thing happen in DP before as well.

Anybody encounter this before?

Make sure the softsynth is set to the correct MIDI channel that the pre-made files are using.
Check the properties of a couple of MIDI notes from the file to see what channel the file is using.
Then check a couple of notes you draw. Are they the same?
