Strange View Behavior?

In track view, when I open a new project, the Inspector is on the left and the track view begins just to the right of it.  Somewhere along the way, something happened and now the inspector covers up the left side of the track view so I can't see the track names.  Of course, I can close the Inspector, but I'd like to know how to get the view back like it was.

    Hmm...

    Did you undocked (made floating) the Inspector window by chance?

    If so - try to re-dock and see if the project window takes its original place....

    Yes, it was  weird undocking accident, thanks.  Sorry for the trouble--just trying to get used to this interface.  I think I will eventually like it really well, but I am slow and awkward right now.

    try hiding the inspector and grabing the track view line with your mouse and draging it back into place.then put your inspector in visable again and drag it back to line it up..ive had similar things like this happen...very anoyiong

    Hmm, I could not get the edge of the track view to drag, but who knows?  Thanks.

    And, yes, some of these quirks are annoying, but, hey, iTunes is annoying--just the way software is...
