Strange bug with automation and looping

This seems like a bit of a random bug. Just asking if anyone experiences the same before I submit a report.

1) Create an automation lane for an instrument track (don't know if this works for audio tracks as well). Let's use volume as an example.
2) Choose a MIDI clip or range of clips somewhere on the track (not at the beginning).
3) Set the volume automation to zero up until the start of the clip(s) you selected.
4) Loop the clip(s) you selected and play them back.

Expected behavior: The clips should play at the normal volume as per the level of the automation envelope.
Actual behavior: Just before the end of the loop point (about 3 beats away in my case), the volume cuts out.

It's as if Sonar, just before reaching the end of the loop point, goes back and reads the automation from a little way before the start of the loop. If I remove the loop, Sonar reads the automation properly. It's annoying because when looping a section, you cannot hear your automation properly. I think looping in Sonar has some serious flaws (e.g. MIDI instruments going out of time after successive loops unless the metronome is activated; occasionally crashing when you activate a loop during playback; clicks and pops before the end of the loop etc) and I really hope it's being addressed for the next update.
