Steve, can you tell me if there is a custom install for platinum, since NOBODY upstairs will answer my question?
I have upgraded and full versions of some of the VSTs that are included, and dont want to destroy my versions by overwriting them wit hthe CW versions ...

yes there is. I only installed SONAR and Anderton's FX Chains. Everything else is there.

George, I don't know how 'customisable' you mean, but these were the options available when I started to install Platypus from the Command Centre:  I've only installed SONAR Platinum as I already have Melodyne, Rapture and Dim Pro. The XLN Addictive Drums doesn't actually install the product, rather it installs the 'Online XLN Installer', gives you the serial, and instructions how to retrieve from the XLN website.  As I'd opted for Platinum, the Online Installer had already populated my Account with the 'slots' to add 3 ADPacks, 3MIDIPacks and 3 AD2 Kit Pieces.  As far as customising the SONAR installation, you can also set the following options:

Also, I just checked for you, and if you expand the items listed in the Command Centre under SONAR, the following list opens up:  But I can't find any way to turn them individually on or off for the installation process. Mind you, I didn't check this when I did perform the install, so the options to individually assign which features get installed might be available with a clean installation. Maybe Ed can remember?

In Straummy's example above red means it's yet to be installed. Green means it's been installed. You install by clicking on a red item and then the install/upgrade button.
So in his example he ONLY installed Platinum, none of the other options.

Ah so
well I want Platinum WITH certain of the gnu stuff
as you all may remember . previous installs X 2,1 3)would hose full installs of Melodyne or guitar rig with the add on CW versions,
thus my caution, I have upgraded my melodyne to the full version and have the Nomad Studio Pak,,as you may see I dont want to screw those Individual plugs.. plus I have lounge Lizard and strum, so to pick and choose is my wish/
As with him, I have dimension pro , blah blah...
its just those plums I dont want to have to delete, reinstall, etc

Thinking about it now, there were two options on the SONAR installation dialogue - Install and Install All.
I thought the Install All option actually referred to what I could see on the screen, i.e. Addictive Drums, SONAR, Melodyne, Dim Pro and Rapture. Obviously (now) it was referring to the 'hidden' list of options.
Even though I'm normally pretty feckin' useless at this sort of thing, I reckon they could have made it just a little bit clearer, especially seeing as the Command Centre is completely new.

Some questions for Mr Bapsi or Senor Strummage. I registered a couple of days ago on the 'purchase' page in the hope I would be one of the preselected for early purchase. I was just about to order via JRR website, I think I noticed in another thread that Bapu did that, or did I?
Is that how you are now fully blown Platypus users? Did you receive an email?

Ed, there is a bit too much unknown and buy on good faith stuff (TO ME) going on right now. I initially got caught up in the fervor and pulled the trigger, but got a clear head. I havent fired up my X3 in a while so why the hell do I need a new version? I am sure its all good and really if the price goes up soon well just more reason not to upgrade. If it was my livelihood, or consumed a bigger portion of my hobby time then yes, I would stay and upgrade. So at this time, its monkey poop.
