Strawberry Fields - You hit all the elements of the original with few modifications. It think it sounds great as new version of the song. Some notes on the vox was out of pitch. Because - Yep, the slower version sounds better. Again, you hit all the elements of the original but this time without any modifications. Great mix and it give this classic a different feel.

These tunes must be some of the hardest to make covers of. I think you fairly well catch the athmosphere of both masterpieces but the timing of the vocal in Strawberry Fields is sometimes wrong and also the left synth in Because plays some unfamiliar notes to me. I am impressed though by you attempts, I wouldn't dare. Also, I can't avoid saying that you even look a lot like John Lennon. :-)

Thanks Guys for listening and giving opinions, yes Strawberry Fields is a ****, I could do a much better version now (it was for my masters so time was of the essence). I learnt so much doing that track and I would recomend anyone who wants to really get their head around production, try doing what I did, you start to realize that its the smallest notes and sounds that make the track. I must brag a little, I love Because this is because the end result was not what I was looking for but the song lead me to the finish and it only took 2 days to do!!! Peace Oh and I thought I looked like a cross between Jim Morrison and John Lennon, Lennon was also a Dragon (Chinese Horoscope) and so am I.

Hi Ben, Just saw your post here ... I listened to both your covers and watched both of your videos. A lot of work must have gone in to those. There were a couple of notes that weren't the same as the originals but overall both were really good. I did my own interpretation of Because many many years ago and I used Campbells Harpsichord SF2. It was a tough song to do. Unfortunately I lost the project and master wav otherwise I would post it for you to hear. I remember way back when you were asking about Harpsichord samples ;). That Campbell guy put out some excellent samples, especially the stereo ones, didn't he? The flutes in the beginning of Strawberry Fields Forever ... the melody isn't quite the same as the original but the sound is dead accurate. You put a ton of work in to this and it shows! Really good stuff!

Great job. I loved the retro sounding drums.

Thanks again guys, for listening. It warms the cockles of my heart to hear such positive things about the work one does esp if you do put a fair amount of effort into the music. Peace
