Streaming from Sonar to Sonos?

My son has a Sonos system and I'm impressed with it as a multiroom sound player.

Can SONAR stream to a Sonos system, so I can listen to mixes around the house?

    I don't see why it wouldn't be possible as long as there is a driver to access from the Sonar Preferences.

    It looks like I need third party software like Jamcast - which hopefully does not have too much system overhead - only way to find out is to try it I guess :)

    as I see it: Depends on what Sonos speakers you have.

    1) As long as one of your Sonos Speakers have aux in (the "old" Play5 have this, also I think the "connect" have it) you can connect this line in signal to the sonos System and choose this on your multiroom. When you play from Sonar, you will now hear the sound on the grouped speakers.

    2) put your mixes on soundcloud. Sonos can play soundcould, so then you will just play these mixes (using your Sonos controller) the same way as you use other services (Tidal, Spotify etc)

    @kristoffer,

    Yes - I think your option 2 is probably best. I don't really want to use option 1 as it would require wiring to another room as I already have a decent variety of speakers in my home studio.

    I haven't used sound cloud for years - maybe time to start again...

    Thanks :)
