Here's a simple little blues-ish song. I think I may add a few guitar licks in the second half, and I may re-sing it. I like simple production on songs like these, but it may be a bit under cooked. Your opinions on everything are truly appreciated.

Great groove Clint. Has sort of a Robben Ford vibe to me. I think it really wants some keys:)

This sounds ready for prime time as it is.  You have a terrific voice and great guitar chops for this style of music.  Like Tim, I can hear a B-3 in the background, but you could just as easily leave well enough alone.  This is a true gem.

Nice blues tune.  I always like B3 but agree it can stand as is.  Vocal and instruments nice and clear.  Good recording.  Nice blues licks!  I'd drink a pot of  coffee on Halsted Street and listen to this.

B3 would be nice. I know a guy who has one...hmmm. Thanks for your kind remarks and suggestions.

My head was gently, in a furry way, bopping by 0:18 which is a good sign.

Like it very nice, my only observation is the same regards the drum spread and snare High-Hat panning on your other track but that is just my personal thing.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Very cool!

I agree about the B3 as long as he has the Leslie to go with it.

    Well done!

I could hear all sorts of cool things in there..... B3 and horns and maybe some ladies singing background vocals and some ooooohs and ahhhhh's.... but by the same token.... I can appreciate it just like it is.

    Love that bass part.

    i like this.
    funky intro.....

reminds me a bit of straight up blues, but it's got an edgy quality to it, that's more jazzy....
could be a larry carlton send-up

i can definitely hear some key pads in here (think reese wynans with double trouble)

but i don't mind the distorted guitar rhythms (of course i don't)

i think if you used a slightly less grungy, more 'edgy' distorted rhythm sound, it would mesh better with the mellow neck-pickup sound of the clean rhythm.

i think the solo would work better cleaner, as well, but as long as you are diggin' the more saturated tone, bring it up a bit more in the mix, and add a little 'sheen' to it, to get it to stand out sonically against the nice clean rhythm guitar, which right now, is sitting on TOP of the solo guitar, by virtue of the sonics, if not the level.

    great laid back boogie groove

terrific track. just enough funk to power the blues.  tasty guitar licks & leadwork. imo this can either stand on its own, or offer a platform for more production.  either way, it gets your foot tapping immediately.  nice.

    cool.

the guitars in this are really well done, I loved that solo.

I feel there is room for one more musical element here just to thinken up the music bed in places, I heard a bit of brass myself, but certainly some sort of keys would work too.

    await for more.

    Hey Clint,

Very well done brother.  A great track built around a tasty riff.

Very judicious playing of the lead...refreshing.  Not overdone with just enough to keep your head going.

    Impressive.

Exceptional. The spread of the guitars are perfect. Bass is right on as are the drums. Vox is crystal clear. The track works.

Nothing wrong here except I'm not on the track.
