Studio Instruments Drums questions

Is it possible to use Studio Instruments Drums as a multi-out softsynth? I've tried adding the synth with "all outputs stereo" selected, but still only get a stereo output.

Also, does Studio Instruments Drums use SFZ format, as I'd like to create keits from my own samples?

Failing this, I guess Session Drummer 2 would be a better bet...

Cheers,
Gary.

Current configuration:
Core i3 Laptop / 8GB RAM; Sonar Platinum (replaced with REAPER); Roland Quad Capture interface; Alesis Micron; Roland XP30; Akai Mini MPK; Akai S2000

If you have session drummer 2 then i don't think there's any point in using SI Drums. I'd say use SD2 instead.

    I don't own SD2 yet - but as it's only £8.99 I think it's worth a punt!

    Cheers,
    Gary.

SD2 would do what you want.
SI Drums does not support multi-outs, nor can you add any sounds to it.
The whole point of SI is a simple, no frills synth to get you up and running quickly and easily. So, by design, it doesn't have more complex features and abilities.
SD2, on the other hand, is fairly open. You have 8 outputs available (10 drums in the set), and you can add you own sounds pretty much at will.
It does support sfz, and multi-layered samples.
I like SI for what it is, but it is what it is, and I like SD2 a lot more.
