Studio Instruments?

Hi
I have Sonar Artist and am confused.
According to Sonar's Command Center Artist includes Studio Instruments such as SI-Drum Kit, SI-Bass, SI-Strings etc
Can someone tell me how I can access them?

In the Browser (right hand side if you haven't done anything funky, if browser isn't visible, you can go 'views'/Browser, or just press the 'B' key) select 'Plugins' then 'Instruments' then expand vst 2, and it is in there.

Mmm.. this might explain why I've had trouble getting any sense out of this software:
    In Plugins/Instruments/VST2 I have only
Cakewalk Sound Center - dmiHammer - DVS Guitar - DVS Saxaphone - Nanotron 2 (all 32 bit). See my post at:
    http://forum.cakewalk.com/Sonar-Artist-problems-m3190979.aspx
I guess I should uninstall the lot.
I suppose I can then re-install again from Command Centre?

Can you see them in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins, that's the default, if you installed differently adjust to suit, you should see SI Drum Kit, SI Bass Guitar, SI Electric Piano and SI String Section.

Edit - I'm not sure how it is with artist, I guess it would be similar to platinum, did you install all the different parts ? did you do it via the Command Center ?

Nope! They're not there but upon searching the disk I find SI Bass Guitar, SI Drum Kit, SI Electric Piano and SI String Section in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments
and in C:\Program Files\Vstplugins I find SI Bass Guitar, SI Drum Kit, SI Electric Piano, SI String Section, Dropzone, Session Drummer 3, SFZ and Square 1
    How did that happen?

Inside the SI folders at C:\Program Files\Vstplugins there is just a relevant dll file - nothing more!

So in the vst preferences, Edit - Preferences - File - VST settings, is the path to
C:\Program Files\Vstplugins there ? If not, add it in there, apply, it should rescan, then check if you can insert them then

Yes, I already pointed the preferences/File.VST Settings to the locations I found - made no difference - still no instruments showing up in Browse.
I removed all paths, restarted Artist, added the paths again - nothing.
I've had problems with this installation since day 1. It's yet to work properly. There are other problems too. I think that all I can do is to uninstall the lot and start again.
I was on the verge of buying a new Audio Interface but now I'm not so sure.
It was a straight installation from Command Center - no errors reported but it seems that it's screwed.
    Thanks for your help

msg 5 and 6 describe how the SI plug-ins are installed. The content and resource files are in folders under "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments" and the dlls are in folders under "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins".

Make sure the scan paths are correct and try running a VST reset?
