Just an FYI for people artist is a pretty crippled version that doesn't support VST plugins.
Now for $5 maybe you don't care, but it isn't quite like the cheap version of Sonar, they disable some serious functionality.

I wasn't sure of the details on Artist 2, but this is the reason I didn't use Artist 1 as it's just collecting AudioMidi dust.

Even at that, there is some serious functionality in Artist.
Granted, you're stuck using their plugins, but they are quite
capable plugins. And there are some NICE instruments
Included....For $5...everyone should have it, just
because...you never know if the next version is going to
THE ONE..and it gets you in the door for almost nothing.
Progression for $5....DERH!!

$5 is less than a normal hamburger, fries and soda! How could you possibly go wrong with a deal like that?

Well, if you own Studio One 2.5 Pro it would be a waste of $5. But, I have wasted more than that. Sample Tank 2.5XL comes to mind.

I got the cd for artist with my Presonus 44vsl. I gave it to a friend who had just recorded somewhere and they used Studio one. I'm not gonna buy this one!!!

Just got Progression2 I was little skeptical at first look but watching the demo video could see some uses for it and $5 is not much of a risk.

The last online purchase was from this and I had to cancel my bank card just to be safe.......waiting for a new card......no GAS money.
