Studio One Looks Out of Focus (solved)
Studio One seems a little out of focus to me. It's not a problem but I would like it to be a bit sharper. Is there a setting I don't have right? I opened up Sonar just to see and it was very sharp. The contrast was good too where S1 is pretty flat. Is this just me or have others noticed?

I think it might be you! I have got Studio One on two machines and it is as sharp as a tack here. Especially on the iMac as well even more so. Studio One's settings can also be altered as well. In the General area under Appearance. Try some different settings there. Are you using a high res monitor and if so have you got the high res mode selected.

Actually.. if you are running your desktop environment at a 4k type resolution.. if you do NOT check DPI Scaling (or whatever it's called) in the Studio One settings window (and there's a slider you can adjust as well).. then it will look "fuzzy"/out of focus. I have noticed the trade off being.. if you DO CHECK the DPI box and adjust the slider to taste it's VERY sharp and crisp.. HOWEVER.. non "4k aware" plugins will NOT SCALE accordingly.. So I have mine turned off. PLugins like BFD3 and Steven Slate Drums 4 don't scale.. and with the DPI check box on.. the plugins are TINY and hard to manage on screen. I hope this helps!!

I had never seen this until I got a laptop with Win10. Without a dedicated graphics card, certain GUI components of all programs are fuzzy, so I have assumed that is due to Win10 trying to scale items that are not already proportioned properly without the help of a GPU. Pop up windows for installations, etc. on several things do not rednder with sharp edges (not program specific). Are you running sans GPU and is this consistent on specific components of S1?

Looks clear to me, but then again I’m one of those geezers who though Studio One 2 had a color scheme that was much easier on the eyes than 3.
