So does that mean I can still use my Editors Keys Sonar keyboard and get the same shortcuts with it?

i never learned any shortcuts anyway,
so i'll never miss it!
LOL

it only makes sense to learn the shortcuts that a software designer has decided on,
usually there's a good reason they are they way they are.

I'm the one who did the mappings, and I agree 100%. There are many functions that have no direct equivalents. Also, to map a SONAR shortcut often means overwriting an S1 shortcut that does something else. Furthermore, there are functions in both programs that have no direct equivalents, but they also don't have default shortcuts so if you have custom SONAR shortcuts, you may be able to use the same shortcuts in S1.

The mapping is best for those who want to try out a demo version as easily as possible. If you end up deciding you like S1, then it's indeed worth learning the shortcuts the designers created.

Very True Mr Anderton.
I have been using S1 for a few months now. Changing back to Sonar mapping is actually no fun for me. After trying that for 2 minutes I had decided to revert back to the original S1 mapping.

The great news with this update is that the UCControl and Studio 192 updates that came out at the same time fixed the surface iPad issue. Yay!

Overall you are MUCH better off forgetting Sonar shortcuts and getting used to Studio One's. You have done the right thing.  After a while you will become super proficient with the Studio One shortcuts and you won't even remember Sonar shortcuts.  In the end the Studio One shortcuts have been carefully designed for Studio One and they are best left alone.

Especially if you get one of the Editors Keys QWERTY keyboards for Studio One which I have and they are great.
