Studiologic VMK-188+ difficulties

I've had my VMK-188+ for a while now and it's begun to cause problems for me. I'm not sure if it's the keyboard, or its interaction with Windows 7, but it stops after about ten minutes of use. As far as I remember, this is one of the first times I've used it while running Windows 7 32-bit.

After using it for ten minutes with MC 5 or a standalone, the program stops receiving midi. Sometimes it locks up MC 5. I try to look for incoming signals with Midi-Ox after the problem occurs, but that locks up as well. I got an error from it once when I tried this saying that there was not enough memory. If this is referring to RAM, I checked the control panel and I was fine concerning that. When I've used this keyboard with XP, I never had this problem. I'm not sure if it's the OS or the keyboard beginning to malfunction. I'm trying it with XP now and it's been running well for about a half an hour on a standalone.

My Akai MPK-25 works flawlessly with all of these programs. Is there anyone that has a VMK-188+ and is using Windows 7 that has this problem? Or, does it work well for anyone?

did you download the latest update for MC5?  it's a patch for win7.

also, have you checked studiologic's site for a win7 update for your vmk?  it will need correct win7 usb drivers.

I'm using the updated version of MC 5, and Studiologic does not provide any drivers and uses universal USB drivers. It's supposed to work automatically with any OS.

the problem sounds like one with the studiologic, not with MC.   especially since it does the same kind of thing with midiox.
