Success with ProChannel and Control Surfaces?

Is anyone successfully using a single control surface to manipulate the various knobs/buttons in all the ProChannel modules?  For example, frequency gain, and Q in the EQ module; ratio, attack, and release in the compressor module; input, drive, and output in the tube module; etc.?  Since each module has a different configuration of knobs/buttons, I suppose you would map each one to a different control surface preset.

I'm particularly interested to hear if this can be done natively in Sonar X3 -- i.e., by using built-in functionality like ACT rather than third-party plug-ins.

Cheers...

in act you need to have a specific prochannel plugin in focus.  one of the things you can do is add automation lanes for any of the parameters in various pc modules that you want to control, then right-click the parameter slider in the automation lane and select remote control, then midi-learn a control on your surface.

Arvid,  Thanks for your suggestion.  It works great, except for one thing.  Sonar does *not* save the remote control assignments between sessions.  This means that I'd have to make nearly a hundred assignments every time I opened a project.

I must be missing something here...Cakewalk is too savvy a company not to have provided a way to save automation remote control settings.

Maybe Ryan Munnis will clear this up; he said he was going to bookmark this thread.

    Cheers...
